Cheese should be avoided when trying to consume a healthy diet.
When trying to lose weight many people try to eliminate
whole food groups such as dairy due to its high fat content. Today we now know the importance of dairy
food within a healthy diet. Some
research suggests that dairy can actually aid in weight loss!
Dairy products like milk, cheese, and yogurt are packed with
essential nutrients. Dairy is not only a
good source of protein but also contains zinc, some B vitamins, and
calcium. Milk and cheese can add to your
daily caloric and fat totals but there are now so many low fat options such as
skim milk, low-fat yogurt, and reduced-fat cheeses.
Research has found that children who drink milk are more
likely to have a lower body mass than children who do not. Another study found that people who eat dairy
while on a calorie controlled diet actually lost more weight than the people
who skipped dairy products. Trying to
get three servings of milk, cheese, or yogurt daily plays a huge part in a
nutrient rich, healthy diet that can help you maintain a healthy weight.
